Rules:
- Start position: Players stand on the edges of the pit with one hand on the wall
- Start the game: A player throws the ball into the center of the pit
- Call out: Players yell “Ga” for the first two bounces and “Go” for the third bounce
- Hit the ball: Players can hit the ball with an open hand, but cannot catch, throw, or hold it
- Elimination: Players are out if they are hit below the knee, or if the ball hits them while they are airborne
- Re-entry: If a player catches a ball on the fly after exiting the pit, they can re-enter the game
- Pit exit: If the ball leaves the pit, the last player to hit it is out
- End of game: The game ends when there is only one player left, or when time has been called
Variations
- Defender Gaga: Players pick a wall panel to defend, similar to a goalie
- GaGa2Go: A portable version of the game that can be played at parks, picnics, and more
